It may sound a bit goofy but I'd like to have another refugium on a stand next to the display. I have a refugium that takes up 1/3rd of my 55g sump but is only seen when the cabinet doors are open.

The refugium I have now has 1 turbo snail, 2 emerald crabs(maxima killers), 8 inches of aragonite sand and a big ball of slowly tumbling chaeto.

I have a 29g that is serving as a QT for all my fish right now and a 10g as well. When the fish are ready, in 2 weeks, to come out of QT, I would like to use one of them as a second refugium to add volume and coolness factor and will keep the other for QT purposes.

If you were I and wanted a display refugium, what would you put in it?

I'd put all the cool things that dont fare well in a main tank or will do better in high nutrients. perhaps things like sun corals, random mushrooms, feather dusters, tons of macro. For fish perhaps some small warm-water seahorses. Or just some of the really really small fish and inverts that you never really see but would be able to live off of the pods and such once it is established such as a trimma goby?
it is really up to you as to how much of an actual tank you want this to be.
