Game sucked. Sheli let that game slip from the Giants hands.

I hate the Pats for 2 reasons. I'm a NY Jets fan so they have always been a rival and because they beat my panthers in the Superbowl.

But I do have to admit a VERY small part of me wanted to see an undefeated season.

I agree with Bkw, if anyone is going to beat them it would be the Cowboys.

I'll admit, it was a much better, much more exciting game than I thought it would be. I had thought the Giants would rest starters and just go through the motions, but they made a real fight of it.

Best game I've seen in a while. :thm:

I am far from a Pats fan but have to commend them on a fantastic season  As good as the Cowboys have been, I don't seem them, or anyone else in the NFL, beating the Pats this year.

:grinyes: true that!

The cowboys will have there hands full getting to the big dance. Patriots almost went last year with a depleted secondary. Manning will have that old familiar dissapointed glare he ussually has in January playing in Foxboro. Go Pats 19-0 Baby!

Personally I think that, and feel free to disagree, that if anyone takes down the Pats it would be the Jags. JMO, take it or leave it.

Both the Colts and the Steelers have proved that they couldnt and I doubt that it will change. None of the NFC teams stand a chance in against the Pats in the SB...Changers, I dont think have the versatility. Philip Rivers has been too shaky this year, not really doing much. Again JMO.

I'm with Ice. I am (obviously) a Jets fan. I admire the Patriots, but I have to say that I would love to see them lose. Sooner is better. Feh.

I agree with jm. colts almost beat them the first time and this time marvin harrison and dallas clark should play so it looks in ther favor. I'm glad though that they went undefeated because i'm tired of hearing the '72 dolphins gloating all the time.

I'm just wondering if anyone can explain how the Giants made it to the NFC Championship. IF they even belonged in the playoffs, they never should have beaten the Cowboys. And I'm a Giants fan.

That last play by the Giants was an "in your face" one to the Cowboys. I think it was pure luck that the ball was intercepted when it was.

You win some, you loose some.

Im sure that Eli cries himself to slee cause he wishes he was good as Payton...before you say anything the reason they lost that game was because 2 tipped passes and a fumble.....none which was manning fault.

Im sure the pack are happy they dont have to face the Cowboys.

I already have the Eli Fail picture ready

Woulda, coulda, shoulda... Northcutt catches one pass and the Pats are on the ropes. There is a reason they refer to the team name and not just the QB's.

Good game. Even the sun shines on a dog *** sometimes :silly:

KOTD,

You know how close to going home the Giants were right? Game could have went either way. That Eli scramble play and jump ball sucked big time. Pats dropped two picks in the 4th. And don't tell me that you didn't almost crap your pants on that first 75 yard bomb to Moss late in the game, 2 more inches it would been a game tying field goal at the least. Good game. Congrats Giants they made enough plays to win.

sorry, but the giants gave them a beating holding them to just 14 points, sacking brady 5 times, giants defense was incredible. eli was on the money and played great.

the giants did not get lucky, they WON and the pats lost..giants played great..get over it.

I've been a die-hard Pats fan my whole life...and as much as it may pain me to say this, I agree with you King...the Pats were down right beaten. There were no bogus plays, no questionable calls, just good football...mainly played by the Giants.

Eli has performed better than most people gave him credit for, but I think the Giants defense won that game...hands down. When Brady was spending more time pulling himself off of the ground than in the pocket :wall:, you know the defense is doing there job.

Congratulations on a well deserved Giants victory.

No questionable calls? What game were you watching? Amani Toomer straight arming the corner before catching that rainbow deperation pass was not questionable? I did not say the Giants were lucky I said they made enough plays to win. Yes, just like there meeting week 17 both games could have went either way. Considering how poorly the patriots played I was surprised they led with a minute and a half remaining. There's nothing to get over the patriots have 3 super bowl rings still :)
