View Full Version : rams!
my sis got me two baby rams for my birthday ( at least the shop keeper told her that they were rams!) and it got me wondering, are rams like discus? in the sense that to indicate their heath, their eyes shouls be a nice red with a black spot in the middle? because my rams have a little redness in their eyes. also i'm unsure of what kind of rams mine are. a quick search on the web found me no leads. one of my rams is sort of like the colour of my albino cory and the other one has black strips on it with its lower fin have black strips too. can someone help me out on what they like to eat and what kind of environment they like to live in? if they like to live in pairs or lesser or more etc etc?
thanks!

peifc: they are certainly not as big as those! they are about 1.5 cm in diameter. but one of them looks like the albino one you mention and the other looks like the one in this web you gave me!

but the curious thing is that they are not elongated but rather roundish.
so could they still be the rams???
if they are could you provide some info? thank you! :D

If you have Rams, they do best in pairs IMHO. They are territorial during breeding and will eat flakes, pellets, and definitely live food such as daphnia and mosquito larvae. You might have Bolivian Rams, altispinosa, which are a little more hardier and often take better care of their eggs and young.
