I have been reading up on Chiclids for a while now and have been wondering if it would be possible to keep some small chiclid species in a 20 Long. I was going to filter the tank with an emporor 400 bio wheel filter I just picked up. Anyone have any info on stocking that might help me if I do get to doing this?

Yes, I know how to set the tank up for fish. I just don't know what species are the least likely to be aggressive towards each other. I would prefer not to have them kill each other too often. This is what's been holding me back a litle bit i've gotten so much information overload on stocking I was hoping someone experienced with Chichlids could dumb it down for me.

id recommend the following: keyholes, german blue rams, bolivian rams, rainbow cichlids. all get to be 3-4" tops.

you could very easily breed a pair of Brichardi's in a 20 Long.

if you do have a breeding pair, it will get hairy for the other inhabitants, but if you make it a species tank, it would be great...

How about a pair of Neolamprolgus Sexfaciatas... They are awesome!

apistos....

That tank is too small for Calvis or Keyholes.
Maybe a shellie tank would be best or some soft water species like Rams or Apistogramma sp.
