first, how do u persounce the word? I can not find it in the spanish or english dictionary. Second, I have semi-see through tubes about the size of two pencil leads on one rock. I would take a pic but everyone around me is dumb and cannot take a photo. I was just wondering if this is going to affect my fathers fish when I leave?

You misspelled the pest's name which should be "aiptasia".:) These are pests and should be eliminated once seen.

I admit having difficulty understanding this one. :lipssealedsmilie: Do you have pics of your tank setup?
aiptasia (ap-tay-zsa)
The tubes sound more like tunicates than aiptasias.
Like Lupin, I don't understand your second post.

Sorry about translation. My cousin is here to help now. Tunicates or aiptasias, neither one should effect the tank if we dont have any anenomes or corals in it, right?

It looked like this. Not the orange stuff but the stuff to the left of it. The clear worm looking things. Oh, Have a safe Happy New Year everyone!

Don't worry if they are tunicates but if they are aiptasias I'd recommend getting rid of them now. They'll devalue any rock you have.

Those might even be sponges but they aren't aiptasias.
