We are getting ready to setup a new 45 gallon tank. We are trying to figure if we would like to do it just as a Cichlid tank. What types of Cichlids and how many would be good for a 45 gallon tank?

That is a very broad question, cichlids are the most diverse group of fish on the planet. The first step to deciding would be to find out the ph and kh of your tap water and narrowing it down to CA/SA or African.

i was goin to set up a 45 gallon once, but to my dismay, it had a leak in it, so i bought a 30 instead...
