So I got the 144g cleaned up and thought I would plumb it for easy water changes and topoff. I was didnt wont the topoff RODI tubing to freeze so I am running it through to attic instead off under the floor. My attic door is in the master closet. Im going up the ladder to the attic when the ladder buckels under the wieght of my fat but. I fall 8 feet hitting my back on and attic rafter, a wire shelf (that broke off the wall and dumper 500lbs of stuff on me) then I landed on the ladder. On the way down I grabed the light fixture and brought it down with me. So there I lay in the dark, in pain and sparks flying from the now naked wire hanging from the ceiling. I cant get out off the closet because all the junk from the shelf and the shatterd peices of ladder is blocking the door. I spend the next 30 mins digging my way out. Im ok, other then a back pain, twisted ankle, and bleeding gums from a now loose tooth.

if the ladder was rated for your weight and you were using it properly, i'd be looking at thecompany and why their ladder failed spontaneously.
