Ever since I scratched up a 125 gallon tank very badly using an aquarium brush, I have been using a toothbrush to clean my glass. Needless to say, this is a very long process (I now have a 220 gallon). I was thinking about getting this:

It a very large toothbrush, but it will cost about $30. Anyone have any alternative ideas, or know of other types of brushes that have toothbrush bristles?

If you are going to use the toothbrush for cleaning the viewing panels I would opt for a mag-float or some other brand of magnetic cleaner. Less water mess and a heck of a whole lot faster.

I am afraid of using a magnet clearner. I don't like using anything that can catch grains of sand.

I use a sponge for the glass. A "Dobie" works well, and I have never had a problem with chemical additives etc.

What's a "Dobie"?
