I have been think about getting one. Is it worth it, do I need it, and any hints or advice about one. I dont know much about them, but I have a tang and I dont want him to get ich...i heard the Uv sterilizer stops ich. thanks alot for the help!!

In my opinion I'd only run one when there is a problem, or in a QT set-up. I'd not run one 24/7 in a display as they remove the good with the bad.

Your Tang should not "get" ich if it doesn't have it now and you keep it stress free. The biggest stress-or is a crowded tank who's parameters shift rapidly. Avoid that.. And you avoid the ich.
