How do I go about trimming it?

I don't know if I did it correctly but I trimmed the oldest leaves off with a pair of scissors. Left about 5 or 6 leaves, mostly younger ones but a few older leaves that still looked good. I have a bunch of new young leaves sprouting from the middle.

Anyone want to fill in?

you really dont want to trim it. every couple leafs you can split rhizomes if thats what your asking about.

I just pull some off and throw it in another tank, When it takes off I repeat the process. It's getting to the point where some will be free soon.
