hey guys, just a quick question...

ive had my fbts for a few months now and they seem to be doing great

i have, however, noticed that one particular frog sometimes turns a darker green than he normally is. any ideas of what this could be? i havent noticed any particular situations in which this occurs... i dont think its from him being "dry" or anything, because it still occurs even when hes submerged in the water...

any feedback would be great!

thanks,
andrew.

Strange. Is he still eating normal? Eating anything different? Any changes in lighting in the area? Changes in water perameters? I'm not sure...

What's your water temperature in the enclosure? The water temp should be in the low 70's and the air temperature should be around 75-78 degrees. Your frog might be cold and by turning a dark color, it absorbs heat better.

Your frogs will always be changing color. My female is bright green 95% of the time but sometimes darkens a little. My oldest male seems to change the most, gets almost black sometimes, and an olive green other times.

sorry, havent been to this forum in a while...

ive decided to get a leopard gecko, so ive been spending a lot of time researching that, just recently picked up a 20L tank and some accessories...

but anyway, i have a heater in the water, so the water stays about 70-72 degrees... regular water changes

i did start feeding them waxworms regularly because ALL the pet stores here have been out of crickets for the longest time... i think that might've been the cause, ive started feeding them crickets again and they seem to be back to normal color, still some changes every now and then though...

btw, if anybody knows any cheap websites for reptile supplies, feel free to post :)

unfortunately i dont have it yet... im going on vacation in a few months and i think it would be better to wait and find a gecko when i get back, i dont want any complications w/ my first one :)
