I first saw these cats at www.naturalaquarium.ws. I looked them up at on planetcatfish, and I guess they only grow about 1.2", they're peaceful, and they eat readily. I'm getting ready to set up my 10g & 15g betta tanks when the stand arrives, and I could always have a couple in there. I was planning on ordering from that site anyways, because of their cheap prices on shrimp & fish and that they ship to canada. I'll include a pic of one of them.

So, what do you think?

Hara jerdoni is a beautiful fish, and has that cool "anchor" shape when viewed from above.

They do however prefer more water movement and cooler temperatures than bettas.

The 15g and 10g will be in a warm part of the house, where the temperature is pretty constant. I was thinking that I would heat the 10 and put some dwarf cories or microrasboras with that betta. The other betta has never been heated, because he's in a warm part of the house. I'm planning on having a couple 15 gallon filters, 1 on each end of the 15g, for my hillstream loach & friends (I only have 1 right now). Don't worry about the betta, I'll have some plants & a cave for him if he doesn't like the flow.

Since you have a hillstream, why not just make the 15g a river tank instead? They'll surely appreciate it more.

I have a limit of 3 tanks for now. My main tank (75g) and the betta tanks. Considering the betta I'm planning for the 15g doesn't have a heater, I've been playing with the idea of a river-type tank with a quiet spot for him. Or I could use my other betta, also heaterless, who stays by his filter's flow. I'm not sure what I'll do yet.
