Is my platy pregnant? If so, any idea how soon she will give birth and how many fry? (I am gone for most of the day and am afraid I wont be here when she gives birth; should I put her in a birthing container/tank now?)

I believe you need a male in there to get frys. The male needs to fertilize the eggs. If you don't have a male then don't need to worry about having frys since they won't be fertilized.
