I can't believe I have been a member on this forum for quite some time now but have not posted a single picture. Believe it or not, I still live in the dark age without a digital camera. I finally had a chance to take some pictures of my livestock when my brother came over with his camera today. I have seen and admired so many pictures on this forum, and here is the least I can do for everyone else. Please enjoy!
So to begin the entry, I have to tell you guys a little story from about 2 weeks ago. There is a LFS around here that is notorious for overcharging everything. But the guy really knows what he's doing and he has some good stuff in there, so I like to stop by once in awhile to eye shop. So I walk in and the guy already had one too many beer for the day.
Me: Hey man.. How much is the sixline
Guy: $35 bucks man. It's usually $50 but I'll give you a deal
I'm thinking... Here we go again... $35 for a 2" sixline wrasse?
Then I see an orange back fairy wrasse. I have seen it in aquariums before but it's pretty rare (at least around here) that it was first time I saw it available for sale. So I ask him
Me: How much is the fairy wrasse then? (Expecting him to say something ridiculous like $150)
Guy: uh............... how much did i say sixline was?
Me: $35.
Guy: Ok. $35 for that one, too.
????????????
I took it with no questions asked.
As I'm driving home I'm still confused as to what had just happened. I don't know how much these little guys go for, but had to be bit more than the sixline. As soon as I get home, I float the bag and go on liveaquaria... The little fish was selling for $90! Are you kidding me? Out of all people... that ripoff just sold me this fish for $35??? You have to understand. This is the guy who sells a mushroom frag with two ugly mushrooms on it for $75...
Anyways, I had to share that story. Meanwhile, Bobby the fish did well in the quarantine and today was the first day introduced in the display tank. Perfect time for some pictures.
Enough talking... Here we go. Enjoy!
Introducing... Bobby

An Acro.. This is the one with the crab in it that I was asking about earlier. It's very hard to tell from the picture, but the polyps look very healthy. Good thing I didn't smoosh the little guy.

Big John.. Little camera shy at first..

More corals

Big John... didn't take very long to get used to the camera.

Leather that I was worried about on that same acro crab post. It's doing much better.

More corals

Zoa garden. Each color started with small frags. I'm hoping that eventually the colors will start mixing bit more than it is now.

Another shot of $35 Bobby

Big John not shy at all

I tried SO hard to get a good picture of Super Nacho (the Anthia) but this is the best I could do. He is really camera Shy... Meanwhile, Big John trying to come in for one last shot.

Hope you enjoyed!
