that is no pleco. it is a golden chinese algae eater. they are very aggressive, territorial, and stop eating algae after a few months. i would bring back to where you bought it and get some credit to buy a pleco or a fish that does eat algae and not your fish. very nice pics and tank.

Thanks guys! I've been thinking of adding some tetra's! As for the algae eater it was sold to me as a sucking loach but you nice people here have informed me its an albino algae eater. I've had him a year now don't think the shop would take him back now but he's never been agressive and he still now and again eats off the surfaces. There is a plecto in the tank I just couldn't get a shot of him he's still settling in. I only put him in saturday past. Like to hide on the statue!

the shop should lots of shops do..... that tank is too small to support a pleco and an algae eater i think

Really its 130liters? I'm told the Plec is a dwarf one? But then thats coming from the people who said the algae eater was a loach!

A very nice tank. Although the algae eater may seem nice and friendly now, stay on alert for any agressive behavior. You can always keep him until something happens, but then again they may not want an agressive CAE. Most CAE's start out like yours. You'll probably take him back anyway seeing as they average 12".

What kind of pleco do you have?

Its a dwarf tiger plecto. He's only been in the tank since saturday I'll try and get a pic when he comes out more.

most plecos get huge. the only ones i know of that stay small are bristlenose and zebra plecos. make sure your cae doesnt become aggressive to your pleco. check the pleco for bruises.
