I thought these fish were generally peaceful towards other fish. I just got the fish on Sunday and when I first introduced him into the tank he was quite timid. I came home on Monday to find him chasing my three little panda cories around the tank. Is there anything I can do to stop the aggression? The tank is a 10 gallon. Previously I had three golden white clouds in the tank as well. There didn't seem to be any aggression problems then. It seems like when I took them out the chasing began. Any thoughts?

Possibly your Rams are fighting over territories.
from what i've seen of cories they don't have the sense to get out of the way:eek: they get attacked, run away and then go straight back to where they get attacked again.
maybe some caves for them to hide in would help? if you don't have any that is...

I agree. Maybe a small area that Cory can squeeze in, but not the Rams. One of my Cichlids always chasing fish. I have a cave that is so small...only small fish can hide in there :)

I have only one ram. The cories do have a cave. I will observe them a little closer and possibley close off the opening to the cave a little more so the Ram can't get in there?

Well I wouldn't extend it that much, only cuz cories have the ability to run when they need it. But ya a cave would help. I'm guessing you have a male Ram, mostly because they're more territorial (im sure we all know this). Not to mention its a 10 gallon, and Rams are generally better in larger tanks, such as a 20 gallon. I'm sure it is just strugiling for now, to establish territory, but it should subside eventually.
