My rock...LOL!!

Ok, I know it's not terribly exciting...but I drove about 45 miles to come home with ONE rock, so I am posting a pic for all to see. I decided to try a different place out, and I did not like it as well...the guy was just non-informative, and asking him questions was like pulling teeth, so I bought a rock and came home. I will go back to the other place to buy the rest of my stuff I need. Anyway, here is the rock I drove 45 miles and paid 24 bucks to get!!!

I would of got more but the guy just annoyed me so much I didn't want to spend more money there, but I couldn't come home with nothing.

Very cool LadyG, but while some might not think a "rock" is all that cool, wait until you start to see all of the fun little life forms that will form or are part of that rock. Now for you to be a true salty you have to make sure that you go buy yourself one of these, and put a red colored light defuser so you can watch those fun lifeforms when they come out at night. :D (BTW Grins does have one of these.. but then so do I :lipssealedsmilie:)

I have one too but I dont use it to watch my fish. I use it for its intended purpose which is cave spulunking.

Do I have to worry about rabies?

Get this headlamp (http://www.bdel.com/gear/zenix_iq.php). I have it and love it. They also have red lenses you can buy for it but I dont have them. I use mine to hike our ski resort Mtn at night then ski down. Great light and pretty cheap.

We're taking a field trip tomorrow to a fish store about 40 minutes (w/o traffic issues) south of here. I like the owner and the store a lot, so it's worth the drive, even though there are places closer. You've inspired me to bring home a rock tomorrow! woohoo! Live Rock Rocks!!!!

LOL, I like pink too...it is just the brightness of Orange, for some reason I just love looking at it!!

We only drove 18 miles to get there, but traffic was horrendous and it took 45 minutes to get there and another hour to get home. Plus we had two kids being crazy and my husband's blood sugar dropped and he got extremely hungry and cranky because he'd guzzled a huge Red Bull before we left and hadn't eaten enough food this morning. :headshake2: SO, it was quite a fun trip!

My rock is gorgeous though and I'm happy. He cost me $27 and I think I'll name him Joe-Bob. We ARE in TX, after all. :lol2: Please tell me the red fuzzy stuff he's wearing is something good. My LFS guy acted like he was doing me a favor selling me a rock out of a tank that had fish and inverts in it. It wasn't in with his other tanks that were labeled Live Rock for sale blah blah blah. He seems very nice though, so I trusted him when he said that's a good one, I don't usually sell those, but I'll let you buy it. And he did give me the bulk price, even though I was only buying 1 rock. So please tell me this stuff is good!
