Is there a good Snail for Hair Algae?

In my experience... not really. Not as effective as you'd like, anyway. Most won't even touch the long hair algea. The Zebra Turbo is probably the best, though. They get quite large and suck up whatever they run across. But it won't eradicate your hair algea!

If your getting hair algae, then you need to find the source of it and stop it there...Just pull it out with your hands untill source is found..Start looking at nutrient levels in the tank like phosphates and nitrates..Of course, in an overwhelmed tank of hair algae, a seahair is a good choice if you can return it when the issue is resolved.

What type of water do you use? RO, RO/DI, tap, well water, broght water??

If you can find them, the ringed cowry will mow down hair algae as well as anything else and can then switch to other common algae and will not starve to death. One of the best all around algae eaters I have ever seen.
