What is this please?

So, I've got this wierd pink stuff that grows on my rocks. Especially on the top rocks right next to the lights. I wash it off every few weeks, but it would be nice to know what it is since it is spreading around some. Any ideas?

Coraline algae? Maybe but Im not sure its weird looking.

I don't think it could be coraline algae since it is NOT live rock and it is very slimy. But I'm new to all this, so I have no idea!

It looks like coraline algae to me. It doesn't have to be live rock for it grow on it, I have it all over my glass and my algae scraper. I have exactly the same type growing on my rock, it looks a bit like bubble gum is the best way I can describe it.

Cyanobacteria? Does it come of of the rocks very easily?

Is it easy to pick off?

Yes, it comes off very easily. I just put it under the sink and it most of the slime just peels off from the water flow.
