Hello, this question might sound a bit noobish. Here goes, If you have a low-tech (no CO2, low-light) moderately planted tank, would the plants affect your pH in some way? Would it make your water more acidic or the other way around? Or would any effect be negligible? Thanks :)

Certain plants like vallisneria will pull the carbonate buffer out of the water as a carbon source and that will make the water more acidic over time unless you keep up with the water changes.
