Hi, this morning I just noticed that one of my peppered cories has a wound on her side, she probably rubbed or ran into something. She seems fine and still very active, what would be the quickest way for her to heal?

I currently change to water once a week and about 20% I have a 29g!. Thanks

So, what's your hurry? Keep the water clean. Make sure your water circulation is sufficient to keep the oxygen level near 100% saturation. Check water parameters to be certain they are appropriate for your fish. Watch the injured Cory's behavior carefully, including feeding, for problems. A small injury like you described should take care of itself. You might increase the percentage of water changed each time and the frequency of changes for a while to be certain the water quality is real good but I don't like to use chemicals with such a minor injury unless the fish doesn't seem to be recovering on its' own. A 25 to 50% water change each day for a couple of days wouldn't hurt.

Well, I am inclined to think that like others whose fish have been wounded before, the OP is worried about possible infection which is even worse.;) Do daily water changes by 20-30% and treat with half dose of Melafix.
