Does this stock list for a 55G sound Ok?

9 glowlight tetras
9 rummynose tetras OR 9 cherry barbs
7 cories
2 bristlenose plecos
2 gouramis (hopefully pearl or opaline)

Are there likely to be any aggression problems? as far as I can tell they should all get along fine, and are happy with soft acidic water. The tank has a sand substrate, fake plants (might change to real eventually) and some rock caves / driftwood.

Thanks.

Looks good, you could even get 10 glowlights & cherries/rummies & 8 cories. I would go with 2 female pearl gouramis.

I would get 12 cories if they are the smaller species, nothing like an "army of cuteness" running around your tank.

If by the smaller species you mean the ones that get to around 2-3" then yes. I had been looking at the albino, but just realized they may dissapear against the sand substrate, so might go with peppered instead.

Thanks for all the replies, now I just have to wait out the rest of my cycle and get some fish!! Looking forward to getting this all set up, its a big change from my last tank of 10G.

The largest species of cories reach 3" max, usually less... Peppereds will get 2", sometimes a bit bigger... The smaller species are the dwarf varieties, such as the pygmy (C. pygmaeus), black diamond (C. Habrosus), and the traditional dwarf corydoras (C. Hastatus). These usually don't get bigger than an inch. Panda cories usually get between 1.5 and 2", so they're also a smaller variety.

The most corydorus I ever had in one tank was 7 of the trilineatus. I loved watching their games in there and more might have been fun. At the time the tank was already heavily stocked so I stopped there. You whole list looks very nice. Don't give in to the temptaion to overstock.

Don't forget bronchis are often confused with corydoras such as the popular Bronchis splendens. Doing a dorsal fin ray count usually helps distinguish between the corydoras and bronchis. The lesser common Aspidoras also exists but I doubt you'll encounter them that easily.

You'll have to avoid all the strains of blue gourami. These are aggressive and have the tendency to bully smaller tankmates. Pearl gouramis will be your better options.

You have more space for more cories (depending on the species) and tetras. I prefer rummies over cherry barbs but I am biased since I like tetras.
