a lot of people give bad reviews of odyssea - including fires
I think it may have been only the MH lamps though...
I'm sure someone will chime in with more information

IMHO I would not do this one. A deal which sounds to be too good to be true probably is.
This is one indication:
Q. If I win more than one bid, will you combine shipping?
A. As our items are already sale priced, we do not combine shipping on orders.

lots of people do that jones..... to rip ebay off of fees. just like the 0.01 buy it now items but 10 shipping.
as for the lights more isnt always better. too much light will just = algae.
also heard about the odyssea catching on fire.

I have the same thing bought from the same person on ebay and the lights are great. All the bad reviews I've read are from about the 2007 and earlier models, the ones now are the 2008, which have the built in fans. The lights work fine, and the moonlights are nice, too.

Given that half of the bulbs are actinic, I wouldn't count them toward the total wattage applied to your plants (though the electric company won't see it this way). 2x65=130 over a 55g - not a bad place to be. At 12,000K, though, the "non actinic" bulbs may not be optimal for plants either. You could try it, and replace the pair of 12kK bulbs w/ 6700K ones if you want. As for the Actinics, I'd be inclined to pull 'em and try to trade 'em for something useful, or sell 'em. You should be able to run the unit w/ half the bulbs (lower chance of catching fire?).
Note - S&H $25.45, so figure that into whatever you may think this fixture is worth.

I agree, the lights may not be ideal for freshwater, but they are improvment over the 20w that my tank came with:). Lights are so expensive, and I'm not sure why. So even though these aren't ideal, it only cost me $82 and my plants seems happier. That blue bulb is u-g-l-y though. I'll replace it one day!
