I picked up two frags today at my LFS and am not sure what they are. I believe they are both some kind of SPS, maybe acro but dont really know.
The polyps on this one are fluorescent green.

This one is gold in color and has longer polyps that are green tipped. It has kind of a bushy appearance to it.

No MH, just got a T5 light a month back. A guy in my club said the first one is a digita. Is that the same thing as a bird's nest? It seems like there are a couple different names for the same piece of coral. I think I got a positive id on the second one. I beleive its a pocilliopora.

The first one looks like a birdsnest (Seriatopora hystrix), but my second guess would be Montipora digitata. The big giveaway on the birdsnest is that all of the polyps will be in straight lines going down the coral, if the polyps are more randomly placed, then it is probably a digitata, but at that size it is hard to tell. The second one does look like a pocillopora, but it could also be a Monty digi. As they grow it will become more obvious. With that lighting, I would keep them high-ish in the tank and make sure that your calcium and alk levels are maintained and they should grow well regardless of what they actually are:grinyes:.

I agree the first one looks like a green birds nest, although I don't think it is an ORA. I also agree with Mayran that the second one looks like a Pocillipora.

It may be a frag of someones ORA GBN that traded to the LFS, IDK. I think the ID's are spot on though, either way. Pocillipora definitely for the second one. A Digitata would be covered in polyps, not as much space between the individual polyps, more furry looking(short polyps) than bushy(longer polyp extension), IMO. I know they look pretty short in the photo, but give it a little time and those polyps will really come out and give it a bushy appearance. Good luck with them and welcome to the world of SPS(talk about addiction, at least for me and most others I talk to).
