New catfish and hes claiming his territory? maybe

I just added a spotted catfish (i think thats it ) and he basically kicked my pleco out of his nice big spot under the a big tree stump thats in the tank..and whenever anyone gets near he chases them away hes about 5 inches long but i was told would maybe only nip at real small fish like neons ? I have six red eye and 4 white skirt tetras in their along with my pleco so any advice or will they be alright ? thanx

Not familiar with catfish, but i would watch him/her closely and if it starts majorly harrassing your other fish, then tkae it back. If its just chasing away the other fish, then it should be fine.

Its impossible to give a decent reponse to your question unless we know what species your cat is. It really is a good idea to become familiar with the latin names of the species you keep, or are interested in keeping. Besides, if you become obsessed with the hobby...like a lot of us do...it will happen anyway.:D
