pagoda rock ok for shrimp?

I honestly have no idea, i would put it in a tank with a couple "tester" shrimp before you put a bunch of shrimp in just to be on the safe side.

i'm not 100% sure. but i know they dont like metals, but not sure if it disolves fast or what. and if your tank is really lit and planted? the plants would "eat" the iron outta the water?

hopefully someone knows for sure. sorry.

I've seen other tanks with pagoda rock and shrimp, and copper is the main metal I've read to worry about... I even dose iron in ms other planted tanks occasionally...

the tank will be planted, not sure quite how heavily, it's only a 4 gallon tank, and it's a tall, the footprint is 8.5" square... will be low light... 7-13watts. and I won't be using ferts or co2. flourite substrate.

I have other rocks in other tanks with some iron staining, and the shrimp don't seem to mind in there... but they're amanos, which seem heartier than the crystal reds I want to breed.
