I just wanted to say and that while surfing for snail killing remedies, I found this website. I hope you all can be of great help. I've had a tank since I was 10 (wont say how old I am now:grinyes:) anyway, I have never had a snail problem until I moved to Texas and bought a used 55 gallon at a garage sale and now, I am over run. I heard about Yo Yo loaches. has anyone heard if they really kill them? thanks all.

Welcome to AC. best to just leave some veggies out then collect them. also making sure not to over fed helps. you will get better answers by posting in the invert section of the freshwater section.

Hi! Welcome to AC! If you reduce your feedings and increase your tank maintenance (specifically gravel vacs) it should helpwiht your snail problem. They tend to reproduce like crazy when there is an available food source. You can also pick them out as you see them or use a veggie to bait them. They can be a nice treat for fish when squished.

thanks everyone I appreciate it. I am going to do a huge maintence job on my tank this weekend and switch to sand and sterilize my plants. I just ordered some live plants as well so wish me luck and thanks and I am glad to see a website like this.
