whats are the rarest of the cichlids. i have thought about this at lfs, when looking for a new fish but i always see the same fish everywhere i go. i never see anything differant. where can i find rare CA/SA cichlids

go here he got some of the nicest, hardest to find cichlids ive seen. and they are always nice fish when they arrive.

I agree with the site recommendation. I have two wild eartheaters (one retroculus and one satanopperca) and F1 festae and the colors and attitude demolish anything from the standard LFS. I have made the trek to Atlanta and found a couple of really good stores. I have gotten dwarf pike compressiceps, synodontis decorus there and have seen other rarer fish. Some stores were recommended to me from people on this website, some listed by the Atlanta Aquarium Society. If you are near a large city it might be worth the drive (you could call first to see what they have).
