see the cichlids in my sig line. I was hoping to add some otto's to my tank, maybe 5 of them to the big tank, and 3 to the other. will they be safe in my tanks?

I would think they would be alright in both tanks, but someone may correct me if I'm wrong...
The cichlids in both tank will eat your otos I'm afraid.:)

Maybe a BN Pleco would be better?...if you're wanting a fish for algae that is. I would like to add a BN pleco to my malawi tank so i'm interested to see what the response is to this too.
YES YOU CAN ADD THEM! THEY MAKE GREAT SNACKS!
Seriously, I made the mistake thinking they would be ok and fast enough. They are not. One sluuuurrrp and gone!

I concur.
oto's and some Cichlids don't do well together.
I love oto's ..but alas, so do my angels.

Yes, you can. Consider more water changes and maximizing filtration capacity.:)
