Hi. I have a 20g of my own, all of which is described in my sig, and I'm also taking care of my girlfriends 10g (she is d3sp41rf4ct0r on here). I've had my tank set up since July last year, and before it cycled I lost some fish. New to it then, and not exactly sure what was going on. Whatever. I believe I currently have too many fish in my tank, but don't really want to get rid of any of them. I have an Aquaclear 20 filter on my tank, and I usually change the carbon on it every two weeks, considering I have over 12 fish in it. I do gravel vacs once a week to every five days, and I wash off the decor every other time I gravel vac.
I work at a Petsmart, and one of my really good friends works in the fish department there (I got him the job!) and he helps me out with stuff when it comes up. He recommended that I start changing the carbon every two weeks now, since my water is hazy at the moment. I just moved into this apartment I'm at now in November, and before the move, I wasn't having water problems like this. No fish have died because of the haziness, so it isn't that bad I think. I use Stability and Prime by SeaChem for what they do, and they work great for me.
Does anyone have any thoughts as to why my water is hazy? Could it be something else, like maybe the fish I have?
