I am trying to decide which is better for my tank- I often leave my tanks in the care of non-fish people, and I think this would be a good thing for them to check just in case.

The Mardel monitors were my first choice but require replacement cartridges monthly.

The Seachem monitors last for a year and end up a little less expensive, but when I searched on here it looks like some may have had some problems.

Anybody cast their vote one way or another? Thanks!

The Mardel one didn't work for me.. spiked as soon as I put it in the tank and never went back down, even when I double checked with a test kit and ammonia was zero.
