FYI, I am not sure you can 'culture' bloodworms.
true bloodworms are the larval stage of the midge fly (Chironomidae).
so the life cycle of this species it requires an adult fly to lay eggs which sink to the bottom and hatch out to the larvae..which will feast for on detritus ..eventually hitting the pupae stage and slowly rising to the top to hatch out to the adult fly.(repeat cycle)
much cheaper and easier to purchase frozen..I prefer Oregon Desert brand. ;)

I use the frozen Hikari cubes. They are $5 but it lasts like a month.
