So far I only have a 3.5in convict which is almost a year old, I had him since he was born (used to have a breeding pair of convicts). Its funny because when my pair of convicts bred, I had other fish with them, and I THOUGHT all the fry got eaten/killed. After about 2-3 weeks later after all the fry were gone, I saw something swimming in the undergravel filter tube. I as like "wtf, how did one of my convicts get in there". But then I realized that one of the convicts fry had LIVED UNDER the rocks in the UGF. So, I let him out, and he swam around and hid in rocks and managed to survive, and eventually it was down to him and my HUGE 6-7" Red Devil, and the red devil didnt mind him one bit, he never chased him or anything, they lived peacefully, with a common pleco. My RD eventually broke my heater and I decided hes getting to big and got rid of him. Now all thats left is my little convict, that has been through SOOO much, and I am just so amazed he is still alive, and quite happy and healthy as well!
