I don't know if some of you remember me, but I have been trying to fishless cycle my tank since March. I think I originally added too much ammonia to the tank and then had a ph crash and once I got all of that stable I cycled for around 2 more months with no luck.
I did some research on Bio-Spira and decided to give it a try. I did a 100% water change on the tank and added fish and half of a large pouch of Bio-Spira. At this point my nitrites were at 5 or higher. This was on a Saturday...on Sunday they were the same. On Monday they dropped to 2. On Tuesday they dropped to .25 and at this point I added the other dose of Bio-Spira. On Wednesday the nitrites were at 0!!!!! This was about two weeks ago and everything has tested fine.
Just wanted to let everyone know what a great experience I have had with this product. I added half of my full bio-load of fish at the start (didn't add them all like it says to do for fear it wasn't going to work) and didn't lose any fish in the process.
Thanks to everyone who helped me before with all my problems. I would recommend Bio-Spira to anyone who was trying to cycle a tank.
