I have been treating for ick with Rid-Ick for the past week. At eye shot you can see now signs of ick, no white spots. The question is that some of the fish are still scratching themselves on the tanks decore. Does anyone have any advice on what to do next? Should I try a different med or stick with the same? I have been vacuming and change 25% of water daily. I also have taken the carbon filter out. I just don't know what to do to help our little guys:help:

What fish are you treating? Most tropicals do fine with heat treatment.

Stop with the medicine. Do a water change to get it out of the tank. Kick up your temperature a couple degrees every four hours or so until you hit 87F. Then leave it there for two weeks. With heat treatment, you will not need ich medication. It kills all forms of ich in its different stages.

Thank you theotheragentm. I have sent you a personal message with a few questions. I have checked back with the forums to see what all everyone is suggesting but you are the only reply so far. You asked what fish are in the tank, we have 5 guppies, 2 cory catfish, 3 swordtails, and 2 mollys. Will all of those be fine at those temps? And should I replace the carbon filter now?
