I found this aiptaisia like thing in my tank today.. I have never seen it before but it doesn't look like aiptasia. I haven't added anything to my tank since my 'nem a couple of weeks ago but he wasn't attached to a rock. It has a florescent green circle around its mouth. This is the best pic I could get without having a tripod..

Ideas?

The head on it is about the size of a pencil eraser.
 
It looks like a small mushroom. Mine look the same when they are growing out of a dim area. Even if it isn't a mushroom, it doesn't look harmful.
 
Well I'll let it grow for a while then and see what develops.
 
Yeah that is the stalk you see going under the rock. I had actually seen it earlier but it disappeared so I thought my peppermints got it. But then it showed up on the complete other side of the same rock and I caught it yesterday with the camera. Like I said it doesn't look menacing as there aren't any tentacles. But I was hoping someone new what it was.

Sure.. Now that you have that second job just borrow the bosses credit card get yourself on a northwest airplane flight to Fargo and I'll show you up close.. :silly: :banhim:

Well if you had read niko and not skimmed coughMafiacough, (man that is a bad tickle at the back of my throat).. you would have seen that this was the best shot I could get as I don't have a tripod for the darn camera.. But I would be more than happy to put you up in the guest quarters for a day or so. ;)
