I was given a link to this forum at another board and it's been very helpful!
My brothers had fish growing up and I always liked them. I'm a professional pet groomer (hence the user name) and while I've been around dogs and cats forever, I'd not ventured into fish until recently.
I got a 1.66 gal tank for a betta a few years ago. I named him Sushi and had him for 3 years until his death. I liked him so much, I got another one and unoriginally named hiim Sushi II. He lives on my kitchen counter. He looks so nice there that I just got a second tank just like it and now have 2 bettas, one on each side of the kitchen sink. My charming husband is not thrilled. He says he didn't just spent $16,000 renovating the kitchen so I can house fish on the counter tops! I just smiled and said "yes dear".:grinyes:
I just got a MiniBow5 tank for our 5 year old. I set it up and followed advice from our LFS guy and have lost 3 our of the 4 neons I put in there. I will be spending a great amount of time in the Freshwater Newbie forum as I need all the help I can get! The pygmy frog is doing well so far.
