those are congo tetras. pretty cool to see in a big school.
your tank isnt overstocked, you could probably add some more still, it just looks like you may want to narrow down your species a bit.
pick either the congos, cardinals, or neon rainbows. more fish of the same species will allow for better colors and more activity. you'll also want to add more corydoras and otos if you decide to keep them.
pick the dwarf gouramis, honey gouramis or paradise fish, and then one one if you pick the paradise fish or dwarf gouramis. this is for aggression reasons, as male dwarf gouramis and paradise fish have been known to be aggressive towards other amles of their species and other male gouramis.
split up the cichlids so that you end up with four. two pairs are better to have in a 58 gallon than 5 pairs.
you are probably going to want to thin out your snail population, also.

Beautiful tank! Your dwarf cichlid looks a lot like my apistos borellis. Are some blue (male) and some yellow (female)?

I set up my 20 gal today, and im going to add the threadfins, honey gourmis, and some of the chiclids into it, im also thinking of adding all the cardenals and then adding a big school of rummynose tetra's to the big tank. a few more oto's and corys..maybe a few more neon rainbows..
Im also going to threw the other dwarf gourmis into my dads tank..im a few speices down! maybe my fish wont be so confused now :P
also i think the tank looks a lil better with the plants moves around..just need some kind of carpet plant to fill in the spaces!

i would keep an eye on the snails and maybe thin those out a bit. they actually do poop quite a bit, and 34 of them when they are adults is going to be a big bio-load. they get about golf-ball sized. at the very least - remove and/or sell any egg clutches when they start breeding.

How large are the 'dwarf cichlids'? Chances are that they will spawn soon enough and with that many in the tank I would not like to see the outcome.
Add more corys for sure.

you do have a lovely tank, and the stock list is much improved, my jaw dropped at the initial amount of apple snails (i breed them and KNOW the waste they can produce). I would add more cories (at least 4)....other than that, i will leave the stocking up to the pros.

I'd add 3 more cories (they need to be in groups of at least 5). 6 more cardinals and I'd leave it at that. Oh, move some of the cichlids so you have 2 pair as someone else suggested. What they were saying is that when these guys start to breed there's going to be lots of aggression if each pair doesn't have a separate territory. You might want to research them and the congo tetras. You might want to check if they are cichlids - someone else mentioned that they might not be. I do know that congos aren't rainbows. Your tank looks great, I love the selection of plants.

Cichlids= bad idea for community tank

Cichlids= bad idea for community tank
Which species are you referring to? That's a very broad statement. Not all cichlids are bad for community tanks. It's in their nature to defend their fry and territory. I don't think every cichlid is bad enough to demolish their fellow tankmates.

Certain ciclids are fine in a community tank. These would include angelfish, rams, and discus depending on the size of the tank.

No co2 in my tank, i did however buy a new light corallife something or other cost me 100 bucks but really brings out the greens. the floating plants are frogbits they look like lil lillypats at the top.

The cichlids in my tank are called APISTOGRAMMA they are quiet small and iv never had a probem with them, if i can catch the little buggers id move some of them to a diff tank but i uproot alot of plants trying :(

DIfferent corys should be fine. They may hang together at times but usually not. If you want to see a full troup of corys then try to get the same species, however I cannot help you with the ID...sorry

I'm not certain but the cory in your picture looks like a Corydoras trilineatus (false julii)- they're a moderately common but pretty species and worth keeping in a group.

You've created a beautiful bioscape, but the filtration/air pipes are a visual distraction IMHO. Can they be hidden at all?

Beautiful tank and I love the floating plants but how do you get them to stay where you want them and not move all over the place.
the dwarves are apistos correct ? any idea what species you have/all one species and what gender ?
I would think 7 is still perhaps pushing it for peace and harmony, but the tank is a big one and if you have no more than a couple of males involved you have a good chance. Ideally 1 male and say 2 females of 2 species would be nice.

I was thinking of getting a backround that would hide some of the tubing, not sure if i can hide the rest tho :/

I dont really, some of them got caught on the tall plants-keeping them in place.

It's not a big deal - the tank is extremely nicely 'scaped, in my opinion - it looks really natural.

Beautiful progress!
Based on the pics already posted, I'm fairly certain the apistos are Borellis. Mine are doing awesome in a community tank. With that many other big fish, I doubt that many of the fry will grow up.

I'd stick to the one species of cory as they prefer their own company rather than the company of other species and your cory is indeed false juli, often just labelled juli in the stores.
