Just the other day i noticed about 6 small aptasia growing on one fo the rocks. I know that peppermint shrimp will keep aptasia in check but i heard that only a certain few types of peppermint shrimp will eat it. i looked around the net for some info on peppermint shrimp but havent found anything decribing the different kinds. if any one know of a link it would be very helpfull. thanks

Here is one of the problems with common names - people dont always call the same animal the same thing. The species commonly called peppermint shrimp is Lysmata wurdemanni and they will eat your aptasia (just like people tho, different peppermint shrimp will have different tastes, some may mow right through it while others wont even recognize it as food). Often Rhynchocienetes uritai (species commonly called camel back shrimp) are mistaken for or also called peppermints and sold as them
