Yea dude, buy a TV or something :p
All kidding aside, 75 watts of light over a 10g tank is a LOT. Maybe too much if you're not careful.
Tank looks like a great start. What kind of live-stock are you going to add? Getting it established as a planted tank first is a great idea IMO.

If your going planted, try a black background. Really shows off the plants and doesn't compete with the plants or fish. Either paint, or construction paper is fine.

Love the little tank. Making me want to redo or setup another one.
What's that plant that you have in the front left? Is it hard to care for?

the plant with those little round leaves are called "Hydrocotyle" it i read on the tropica website this is a hard to keep plant, and it grows very slow. thats why its the only plant i got that i havent seen growth in. here's an update i made last night.

i added a 6700k bulb in place of a "warm white" that came stock with my fixture.

Looks good Chinaboy. My only suggestions is this: jam the tank full of plants now before it's too late. If you don't, you are going to have problems with algae. Overloading a tank with plants in the beginning is a great idea. You can remove the plants you don't like and replace them over time. With the amount of light you have, you will have algae problems if you don't get more plant matter in the tank. I have been running a 10G with 4.1WPG for awhile now and it's a great little tank though a bit restrictive. Good luck!

Nice looking tank there. Is that a corkscrew val in the front left corner? I also recommend putting a black background on. It really brings out the color of everything.

Yep, I'd listen to Godslayer. Fill it up with cheap plants. That much light and so little plants is asking for trouble, mainly algae. And the plants you have aren't really fast-growing or easy, so they're not gonna take off like mad and suck away everything from the algae. Are you going for a lightly-planted look? Cause then you could do with less light. If you do want a lot of plants, but it costs too much all at once, then get lots of cheap ones now, and phase them out over time. The cheap ones are cheap because they grow fast - so anything cheap will do. A dark background would look nice as well.
The Lillaeopsis looks much better, good luck with it!
Keep up updated!

I just taped construction paper to the back, two big black sheets. It really couldn't have been easier.

Why did you change it to a mini? I really would have left the 200 on because the tank is very heavily planted and you could you a lot of filtration. I thing you should put back the 200.

wayyy too much currrent. and when i lowered the current, it was loud. it was blowing my fish around. now i like the mini because my fish can swim where ever they want and looks more natural. they arent forced to go the corner anymore.

I wish you would have gotten a 150 rather than a mini though. I would recommend a mini for a tank under 10 gallons, a 150 for 10-15, and a 200 for a 20.
