Welp time to make a new thread since the old thread was of my 55 gal BEFORE I got into plants..SO without further ado heres the fine print...

Fishy -

1 Lyretail Swordtail
4-5 of I completely forgot the name of these guys
40 & up babies from someone in that group lol

Plants -

yea um some java moss, some swords, some crypts, some other plants I cant think of them off the top of my head but theres plenty there lol

Side Notes

Dosed daily/weekly/every 2 weeks with Excel, Iron, Potassium, Trace
Weekly 50% water change
I plan on adding more fish once the babies grow up cause I'm not going to destroy my tank for some 40+ babies that I'll never be able to get all of.

and now the pictures

Nice tank!
Looks like a nice batch of sword fry growing in there, excellent color on the Alternanthera. I'm jealous of the Anubias flower.

Wow NICE tank! I'm surprised the fry don't get eaten!

Your tank looks like one of those tanks that are used as aquarium wall paper. So many plants!

Me2 OhNo123! The minute I saw the fry I said "oh they'll be gone in no time" WELL 3 weeks later they are still here..nobodys eaten them..I thought swords were cannibals? It stinks tho because I'd like to add more fish but really cant with 30+ fry swimming around. And just curious here but how do we know its swordtail fry? he's the only swordtail in the tank and the other fish aren't swordtails at all! do livebears breed regardless of what species they are?

Really nice setup. I ended up abandoning my planted tank after about 4 months so I have an extra appreciation of these really beautiful tanks.

Wonderful setup , love it :grinyes: Only thing I'm not a big fan of is using the top of the tank as a shelf for supplies  Hide that stuff :)

granny - those swords are HUGE if I ever get rid of one I'll ship it over to you...The lighting in those pics was 2 48" 32W lights so only a meer 1.16 wpg but FINALLY my lights came in an now I have a quad 48" power compacts pumping out a solid 4.72 wpg. Ever since then the alage I had completely disappeared. Co2 is the hagen ladder rest is diy soon to be switched I'm waiting on some parts then i'll have updated pictures. as for the baby fry which aren't exactly babies anymore lol I have no problem sending you some I'm just trying to let them grow some more before I ship them so I can tell you exactly what they are cause I know they arent swordtail fry unless the male got it on with the platys?

Rod - don't worry I fixed it lol with the new light theres nothing ontop of the tank
Ftwayne - SEACHEM!!!! :headbang2:for as much crap as seachem gets I've never had a problem with them! :) they aren't exactly my favorite company but hey the plants grow everything looks beautiful who am I to complain?

and thank you everyone for the comments I have some big plans for this tank which is scary since um there's not much else I can really do lol
