just curious as to if this liverock looks healthy and what i can do to improve it thanks you guys are great and a big help

There are lots of different ways to define live rock. I would say that in the pic looks about average for what can be found in most stores--better than some, but not top of the line. It looks like the curing did include some water changes, so while organisms like macro algaes weren't completely wiped out, they have died back and are re-growing.

I'd advise the same as for most SW life forms--healthy, clean water. 10-12 hours of light per day, lots of water circulation.

I agree with OG, you need lots of light and clean water. Calcium would hurt either. The white spots on the rock are dead corralline algae. It will come back if you light it properly and dose calcium. Mine has taken about 4 months to come back, but is doing so steadily. Bear in mind, though, that I have VERY substandard lighting. If I sprung for metal halides, I'd have great looking LR! ;)

ive been adding lately about a capful and a half of liquid calcium from kent marine is this gonna help me out i just went down to my supplier and picked up the seachem calcium test kit and phosphate kit so we will see what happens tonight thanks you guys are great
