Hi. Is anyone using the AB co2 regulator? If so, do you open your CO2 tank all the way and just adjust the flow with the needle valve? or do you open the co2 tank a little and fine tune it with the needle valve?

Thanks,

Omid

No experience with that regulator, but I assume most regulators operate the same.

What you do is, make sure your regulator is completely closed. Open the knob on your CO2 canister all the way. Then open the valve on the regulator until the output pressure is about 15-20psi. Use the needle valve to fine tune that output to about 1-2 bubbles a second, then adjust as needed.

Hi Richer. Thanks for the reply. I have read that, but the thing is, this regulator does not have a regular valve, it only has a needle valve. That is why i was confused. Do you have any idea what to do in this case?

Thanks,

Omid

Aqualine is now part of Aqua Medic. The aqualine regulator will go to the same psi no matter if you open up the tank fully or half way. It doesn't really matter. You simply ajust the outflow with the needlevalve. One warning... out of the box the needlevalve is wide open...do yourself a favor and close the needlevalve before opening the main valve on your CO2 tank.

Yep, thats exactly what I do with my aqualine. Open up the regulator all the way and then fine tune with the needle valve.

Thanks guys. I was reading specs on their website and saw that it is set at 1.5 bar which equals to roughly 27 PSI. Thanks for the info, good to know that the needle valve is wide iopen.
