4 x african butterfly cichlids
2 x rainbow cichlids
2 x angelfish
1 x blue eye cichlid

300 L = 79g

Well, I don't see why not if you have plenty of hiding places for them. However, Blue-eye Cichlid gets to 5" max and I believe most Apistogramma gets to 2". Definitely need to give them plenty of hiding places.

Why only one bristlenose ? they are a breeding pair, welll at least they was, they havent spawned for the last 3 months :(

Apisto. Agassizi I allready have, the male is 3-4" and the female is about 1 1/2"

Do u think I should leave out the blue eye? is it abit of a bully?

I read something about Blue-eye Cichlid is better to keep with the similar size fish. Since you have a cichlid that gets to 2" only...might be risky. However, maybe you will beat the odds like I did. I have many sizes in my tank, and none of my Severums or Blood Parrots eat any of the small fishes. My smallest fish is 1". My biggest Severum and Blood Parrot are 5".

The most important thing is that you provide plenty of hidding places for your fishes.

Yes DBCB please enlighten. Why the bristlenose? I think your tank is fine. If the blue eye becomes agressive remove him. What is an African butterfly cichlid, is that the same as the African butterfly? It will need some floating plants and they love crickets.

Two Bristlenoses can be quite compatible in a 75g, though there are a lot of egg-eaters in the proposed mix...you might not know if they spawn or not!

The African Butterflyfish is quite closely related to the Arowanas...the other is a Cichlid, but I don't remember of which type!

Thanks, peifc...I couldn't remember, for the life of me, what the ABC was! Anomalochromis thomasi is definitely what I was thinking of, and what is commonly called that in the pet trade.
