i have a 90 gal that is currently cycling that will be the new home of my bass (about a foot long). with the exception of the feeder goldfish that i usually add and don't stay that long, it will be the only inhabitant.

what i was curious about is that right now i have a fluval 404 and 2 powerheads for circulation, will this be enough to keep it clean? i was thinking of adding a powerfilter to it but if i'm not going to need it then i don't want to waste money. but with my 404, if i do need a power filter what size would i need?

I'd definatly add a powerfilter. Maybe an emperor 400.

A 404 would be good. But for a little more you could purchase the Emperor 400 bio wheel. It will give you the wet-dry filtration and along witht he 404 provide superior filtration. It would be nice to have for the little bit of extra money, IMO I would get it. Go to www.bigalsonline.com for cheapest price.
