Betta home... stress?

I've just moved my betta into his new home, the 120 litre (31g) "middle section" of my two 6-foot tanks. He is cruising around happily, as bettas do, but when I moved him I thought this environment might stress him a little.

His "area" is below my filters, with the freshly filtered water dripping from the filters into his spot, as if it is perpetually raining.

So, will he mind this never-ending rain?
 
It is best to place the fish in a tank where the surface gets little ripples. Place some floating plants in its tank for refuge.:)
 
If he does not seem bothered by it then leave well enough alone. He will get used to it. Problem is if he is not used to getting that much exercise he may be stressed at first but this will go away. Just be prepared to change him out to a quieter less active area if a problem arises.

My fab betta, Blue, went from a 5 to a 10 to a 35 gallon with little stress each time. He seems very happy now in the 35. He has shredded his fins somewhat with the fake plants in the 35 but otherwise is very active and happy...as much as I can tell anyways! I think they adapt to whatever new situation they find themselves in. Adapt or perish...Darwin's theory at work!
