Does anyone know anyhtign baout Black Davil Crabs (Clariosoma camifax)? A store around here has some and i was jsut curious about them since i have never seen them before. I did a search on google but it didn't realy come up with anythign besides a pic.

They are more commonly known as the Thai Devil crab, or soapbox crab. They are aggressive--can kill and eat small fish/snails/inverts, but larger aggressive cichlids and puffers can kill/hurt them. Definitely not considered safe around plants--snip snip! They are FW, but need access to land as well. They are escape artists, so a tightly covered tank is a must.

so they are freshwater and not brackish(like most"fresh water" crabs are). How big do they get?
