I currently have 2 pearl gouramis, 6 lemon tetras, and 3 panda corys in a 29 gallon tank. I've had this set-up for several months and the population is stable - no diseases, no problems except for the gouramis.

I chose pearls because I thought they were among the least aggressive gouramis, and I thought it would be good to have two together. Wrong. It seems that one of the gouramis is picking on the other, and bit him. Not a very small bite either. I've now moved the injured one into a separate tank by himself, but is there something I can do to help him heal? I'm only aware of medications for diseases, not a bite. I tried doing a search but the search function isn't working for me. Any help would be most appreciated.

i would just do frequent water changes to help the gourami heal, the curative powers of clean water should not be underestimated. Keep an eye out for secondary infections.
