I have some cherry shrimp in a 10gal with a betta and a few snails. The betta had some fin damage when I first got him and he hasn't healed. I'd like to add some Melafix to help him out but I love my cherries and don't want to take any chances with them. Does anyone know of any issues with Melafix and cherries?
Before anyone asks; I do regular weekly water changes, have lots of live plants and my parms are:

Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate between 5 and 10

Thanks!

Yes, it's 'supposed' to be safe but it seems to me, I read somewhere about someone having issues.
I just don't want to take a chance. I wouldn't even use Melafix if I didn't think it would help my betta. It's made with tea tree oil and I happen to be allergic to tea tree oil :(
Thank goodness for gloves!

Well, I haven't used it with cherry shrimp, but I have used it with ghost shrimp. Used Melafix and Pimafix together with no ill effects.

i had a little of the same issue and to help him heal i went with some salt which helped and also i bought pure tee tree oil and added it in, and it was good for all my little inhabitants
Good luck

I thought about salt but I have live plants. I've also considered QTing him but, for many reasons, it's not pratical. I think I'm going to just do extra water changes and maybe add a half dose of Melafix if I don't see some improvement soon.
