bubbles in my fuge bad or good?

Do they make it back to the main tank or do you have bubble traps/baffles? The main reason I don't like bubbles in the main tank is because they irritate the corals and make them close up.

I have lots of bubbles in my sump, but by the time it gets through bubble traps and all the cheato/macro it's clear water going back in. Another cause of micro bubbles in the main tank is how much of a 'water fall' you have in the last baffle going into the return section. If it's gentle, I get less bubbles if any. If the level in my return section is down and the water flows over, I get the bubbles.

yea, no bubbles gets to my main tank only in my fuge. i have snails and cheato and i was wondering if theres no problems.

To my limited knowledge, there's no problem with bubbles in the fuge. I have 'em in every sump and they dissapate (sp?) before they get to the return. I've never had a problem, am growing good macro algae and have lots of bugs.

Others might chime in with something I didn't know, though.
 
Bubbles don't cause a problem really.. Some people say microbubbles will cling to a fishs gills and cause problems. But from what I've read it really is a preference. I do know that bubbles will cause more salt creep.. But other than that I agree it shouldn't hurt anything.
 
Two of my tanks turn into bubble maelstroms randomly every 1 to 10 minutes(waves). My tanks are sort of giant refugiums. The bubbles are so thick that you can't see more than 2 inches in.

Bubbles will not hurt your refuge at all. They won't hurt fish at all. They sure can bother coral.
